Peary is the owner of Tierra Senior Living (TSL) and has been involved in the senior housing industry since 1984. He formed TSL in 2010 to acquire and manage assisted living and residential care facilities. With the acquisition of ElderHealth & Living Memory Village, TSL now manages three properties in Oregon and Nevada. Prior to forming TSL, Peary was CEO of an Oregon senior housing company and CEO of a California company that owned and operated 30 facilities. He is passionate about serving the residents and employees of the communities managed by TSL.
He is most proud to be a father to four grown people, and grandfather to eight little people. Peary loves cooking, gardening and playing music and has an impressive collection of guitars and ukuleles. He always says “It’s hard to have a ukulele in your hands without smiling.” He is happily married to his wife, Debi, and where you find one of them, you’ll probably find the other.
Prior to his involvement in senior housing, he served onboard the USS Sam Rayburn (SSBN 635), a fleet ballistic missile submarine. Initially stationed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire while the boat was undergoing an overhaul, he had the pleasure to see many places while serving, including the Bahamas, England, Scotland and Portugal. The crew also took the boat up and down the East Coast during its sea trials and shakedown operations after overhaul. Some of his longest friendships are with the men with whom he served.
Peary was born in Texas and grew up in a small town helping his father raise cattle.
