Memory Loss Care

Mt. Hood Home Courtyard

Mt. Hood Home Courtyard

ElderHealth & Living has been in business since 2006. We are a locally owned and operated business, specializing in the care of persons with memory loss diseases (dementia). The owners are Liz von Wellsheim, GNP, Medical Director, CEO and Nancy Koll, LPN, Administrator, CFO.

EHL’s unique campus design is made up of nine homes that each accommodate 10 or 11 residents. Our small Memory Care Homes, which are endorsed by the State of Oregon, allow our staff to develop relationships with each resident, learn their daily routines, and understand their needs through their progression of memory loss. By seeing each person as an individual, we use their strengths and interests to provide the best care possible. We provide round the clock care to assist with mobility, eating, bathing, toileting and medication management.

SECURITY WITH A SENSE OF FREEDOM

Residents enjoy safe and secure indoor and outdoor spaces for walking, gardening, and exploring. Our homes are specially designed to allow persons with memory loss to participate in activities that encourage mobility, independence, and the opportunity to feel a sense of pride and enjoyment in their day to day lives.

LEADING EDGE MEMORY CARE

Providing the best possible care requires collaboration, modern technology, and a hands-on approach. On-site Nurse Practitioners collaborate with most Primary Care Providers to co-manage the medical care of residents and participants at EHL.

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

We use a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle focus for our operations, which include composting, extensive recycling and reusable care products instead of disposable when possible. We also support our local community by using local businesses whenever possible.
