With Fall having officially arrived, we here at ElderHealth & Living are ready to start a new Wellness Challenge.
This challenge will be different from our previous challenge’s in two ways: it’s based on points earned for a variety of activities and it encourages our staff to improve all facets of their lives in small, easy ways.
Top point earners will win some great prizes, including massages and EHL gear! All employees and families that participate will receive an ElderHealth & Living Wellness t-shirt and a Fall Challenge decal to add to their collection.
Ronda Perkins is not only our Administrator, but heads our Wellness Committee. She is dedicated to finding ways for our staff to better their health– from healthy eating to making time for themselves – because caregivers who are healthy are better able to care for our residents!
“When caring for others we often forget to care for ourselves, thus compromising our own health & wellness. Our jobs as caregivers are much harder when we are stressed, tired, and feeling unhealthy so join in and challenge yourself to a healthier you!” – Ronda Perkins
Employees can earn points for drinking more water, biking to work, and competing in community events like the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. They can also earn points for eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, expressing gratitude and volunteering, and having lunch with co-workers. The challenge runs from October 1 to Thanksgiving and we’re very excited to see what everyone at ElderHealth & Living can accomplish!
